Happy Halloween Smoothie and Witch Finger Fries

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!

Did anyone dress up this Halloween? Chris and I decided to lay low this year and had a weekend of scary movie watching 🙂 Movies included House of 1,000 Corpses, The Ruins, and Hocus Pocus!

This morning I was craving a smoothie after my workout. I had just enough Amazing Grass Wheat Grass left for a blueberry-banana smoothie. I also added a little spice to it and put in a dash of cinnamon. It was delicious! I loved the addition of cinnamon. I even put my smoothie in a spiderweb mug 🙂

Halloween Smoothie
1 scoop Amazing Grass Wheat Grass
1 frozen banana
1/4 cup blueberries
dash of cinnamon (about 1/2 tsp)
1 cup almond milk or milk of choice

Place all ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth. Enjoy in a spooky glass or mug! On a side note, if anyone needs any Amazing Grass products, click on the Amazing Grass icon to the right. You now have the convenience of ordering the products right from my site! Also, if you are unsure of which to try, you can read my reviews of all the products. Click on the “Amazing Grass Review” category to the right. Feel free to let me know if you have any questions!

Another fun recipe I wanted to share with you from this weekend is Witch Finger Fries. Ok, ok, they’re just green bean fries, but I thought it would be fun to give them a spooky name for the occasion.

These were so good! The green bean fries are definitely topping my list of side dishes right now. And you can season them any way you want to suit your tastes! I recommend trying these right away.

Witch Fingers (Green Bean Fries)
fresh green beans, washed and trimmed
olive oil
season of choice

Spread the green beans on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper (or spray the pan with cooking spray). Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with whatever seasoning you desire. I chose to use a southwest chipotle seasoning I had along with fresh ground black pepper. Bake in a 425F oven for 25 minutes, flipping halfway. Enjoy as they are of with a side of ketchup. They were amazing!

I hope everyone had a fun Halloween weekend! I’m off to relax and probably watch a little football on this Sunday afternoon. See you all tomorrow 🙂

  1. I watched Hocus Pocus this morning! And now I’m half watching Corpse Bride while catching up on blogs. I love your spiderweb mug, so festive. I really need to get some fun glassware.
