Google Swag

Sometimes people get lucky and they have a job or work in a certain field that comes with perks. Well, Chris happens to be one of those people. In the marketing and advertising world (like many others) there are a lot of connections to be made, business trips to go on, and schmoozing to be done. Sometimes those perks involve a trip to Vegas and sometimes they involve receiving a little swag from different companies. Google was generous enough to throw some goodies to Chris and his colleague, as well as donate some things to their charity auction. It’s nice being the girlfriend of someone who receives these perks πŸ˜‰ Yesterday Chris brought me home some of the things he received! I am not one to turn down a Google goody bag. While the bag was void of iPads, Andriods, and other cool gadgets, it did however contain a few other unexpected delights.

For starters I opened the Google canvas bag to find another bag inside of it. Yes, I received a bag inside of a bag….thanks Google. But hey, I’m not complaining. Check out the loot Google offered up:

A sturdy canvas tote and a small travel bag with shampoo and soap containers inside

An apron!

Google's cookbook πŸ™‚

We have also gotten a mini digital picture frame.

My favorite is probably the cookbook. The recipes look amazing and are from some of the best chefs around. At the Google headquarters they have chefs making breakfast, lunch and dinner every single day for the employees. Care for pan seared sea scallops? Rack of lamb? Filet? Sushi? Well all that and more, including many vegan and vegetarian options, are offered on a daily basis. Needless to say, Google employees eat very well it seems. I’m excited to try out some of the recipes and put my vegan twist on many of them!

Now if only I could get the freelance writing, health coaching and Middle School cheerleading world to offer up some snazzy perks….. πŸ˜‰
